POONCH, Aug 24 : In a ceremony held at Seklu Teh Mandi Poonch a cheque of Rs 2,94,767was handed over to Raneez Raza son of Ghulam Mohiudin resident of Village Gagriya Mandi Poonch.
The amount was given as compensation to him as he had sustained injury, while performing casual porter duty with the Army on November 28, 2015.
The cheque along with a gift hamper was handed over to Rameez Raza by the Commanding Officer Siklu Battalion on behalf of Poonch Brigade in the presence of few eminent local residents. The compensation will go a long way in providing financial assistance to Rameez Raza and his family as also reflects the positive attitude and concern the Army for the local residents.
