Army provides artificial leg to Kargil war victim

KARGIL, Dec 12: Army provided an artificial leg to a young girl namely Zehra Banoo, a Kargil War victim and aroused a new hope in her life.
The Brigade Commander, 121 Brigade Kargil, Majinder Singh visited Military Hospital Asha School here today, met with the victim, who returned today from Pune with new leg and presented gifts to her.
Banoo, resident of Kaksar village here, had lost her leg in the Kargil war in 1999 and in 2002 she was provided an artificial leg and employment in Military Hospital, Kargil. But as she crossed the age of 18, the problem again appeared in her leg, following which Army referred her to Pune.
