Army porter injured in blast

JAMMU, May 2: An Army porter was injured in a mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) near Sagra Gali in Mendhar sector of Poonch district last night.
Mohmmad Bashir, an Army porter, was returning from a forward post along LoC when he stepped on a drifted mine in Mendhar sector last night, triggering a blast with a bang.
Official sources said the Army and police personnel rushed to the spot and evacuated injured from the blast site. He had sustained grievous injuries all over his body.
They shifted the injured porter to Military hospital for treatment, where he was responding to the treatment and his condition was stated to be stable.
A sabotage behind the blast has been ruled out, sources said.
