SAMBA, Apr 3: Following the recent terrorist incidents in Rajbagh and Samba, Army and police have further strengthened joint efforts to check the terrorists movement in  Kathua and Samba sectors. All suspicious movements of vehicles and personnel are being checked with well coordinated check posts being selectively deployed.
According to a Defence spokesperson, in the early morning hours today, a Tata Pickup vehicle with covered body moving from Rajbagh, crashed across a vehicle check post established in area Hariyachak and moved southwards. It disregarded the warning shouts of the sentries put at the barrier and did not stop; thereby confirming malafide intentions. The check post personnel fired three aimed shots at the vehicle’s tyres but could not stop it, the spokesperson added.
He said later the vehicle was apprehended from a bakarwal dera in general area Mukundpur with three buffaloes inside it. The case is presently being investigated by the police, he added.
