Srinagar, Feb 18: Army today organised telephonic interviews of graduates from Pulwama, Budgam, Anantnag, Shopian, Ganderbal districts of Valley for employment through Udaan scheme.
A defence spokesman said the telephonic interviews were conducted for employment of fresh graduates who passed out from the year 2012 onwards, for all India vacancies in the leading software company of the country, TCS (Tata Consultancy Services).
“However, Post Graduates also took up the interview who would be considered only after the priority one, fresh graduates. The candidates who get selected will be given seven days’ time to join the training after declaration of the results,” he said.
The spokesman said this collaborative initiative by the Army launched in November 2014, has received enthusiastic response from the youth and has already benefitted a number of candidates who have completed their training and got employed in TCS in various disciplines.
“In the ongoing drive, 50 candidates will be selected for the training to be conducted at Kolkota. On February 20, the candidates belonging to Sharifabad and Heiderbeg areas will be appearing for their interviews,” he added.
