Army organizes medical, veterinary camp

SRINAGAR, Sept 5: As part of Operation Sadhbavna, a medical and veterinary camp was organized by Army at Khagral village.
A defence spokesman said that under the aegis of Tiger Hill Brigade, the camp saw medical check-up of OPD patients and animals by Army doctors and veterinary doctors respectively.
“The event proved to be a huge success wherein the efforts put in by the army were appreciated by the locals. The locals who were continuously plagued by the problem of insufficient medical facilities both for themselves as well as their animals lauded this medical and Veterinary Camp which gave them an opportunity to be able to tend to their ailing family members as well as domesticated animals,” he said.
He said that the event saw participation from nearby villages which included villagers from Khangral, Chiktan and Budhkharbu. “The army medical and veterinary Teams which came from Achinathang (Batallik) and Kargil respectively tended to the patients and also gave necessary medicines free of cost,” the defence spokesman said, adding that the camp proved to a success.
