Army organizes medical camp at Nowshera

RAJOURI, June 26: As a prelude to 67th Jhangar Day Celebrations, a medical camp was conducted today at Nowshera by the Jhangar Battalion of Nowshera Brigade, with an aim to provide necessary medical care to the needy people.
A total of 17 doctors from Nowshera, Rajouri and Jammu with the Army doctors and supporting staff attended the patients. Around 1200 patients were examined by the team of specialists and were also provided with free medicines.
A Thallasemia awareness camp was also conducted by Army at the venue with the help of Dr Sanjeev Dingra from Jammu Medical College who enlightened the locals about the prevention and management of Thallasemia.
On the sidelines of medical camp, a blood donation camp was also organized wherein 51 units of blood were donated.
Ravinder Raina, MLA Nowshera, Commander, Nowshera Brigade, Comma-nding Officer, Jhangar Battalion, SDM Nowshera, Additional SP and SDPO Nowshera graced the event.
