Army organises vocational training programme

SRINAGAR, June 22: Army today organised a rally for the unemployed youth of Boniyar and Uri block for a vocational training programme.
A statement of the Army said that its 31 Field Regiment with the help of an NGO based company ‘Don Bosco Tech’ under the project ‘Himayat’ initiated by the Ministry of Rural Development organised a programme in which atleast 400 young men and women participated.
Major General VG Khandare General Officer Commanding, Dagger Division while addressing the rally appreciated the youth who took part in the vocational training programme.
He said that the youth are the future of this country and hence they should understand their moral responsibility in nation building.
The Officer announced that a Vocational Training Centre would soon come up at Boniyar that would cater for job oriented courses for unemployed youth for three months, free of cost and placement will be given to all successful trainees in different companies.
