Army organises training for Agniveer aspirants

POONCH, Sept 26: Indian Army organised training of “Agniveer” aspirants at Mendhar in District Poonch (J&K).
The event was also aimed at educating and encouraging women for the Agniveer entry. Female NCC cadets attended the event and even participated in Chinups and Tug of War.
About 200 Agniveers participated in the event. All the mandatory physical tests required for recruitment including 1600 mt run, push ups, Chinups were conducted. A lecture on women entry in Agniveer was also conducted at the event.
A large number of aspirants turned out for the event as the dates for the rally have come close. The youth attending the rally expressed their gratitude to Indian Army for providing them the facilities and resources for training as this challenge was conducted on request of the aspirants after previous rally of Sep 15, 2022 at Mendhar.
Recruitment rallies for Jammu province are scheduled to start on Oct 7, 2022.
