Srinagar, Aug 6: A medical-cum-veterinary camp was organised by Army at Chowkibal area in north Kashmir’s district under the aegis of Chinar Corps today.
A defence spokesman said that the aim of the camp was to provide much needed medical facilities and medicine to the locals and their livestock located in the remote areas in and around Zunreshi village in the Chowkibal area of the district.
“Approximately 627 villagers including women and children and their livestock were examined and administered requisite treatment. A team of doctors from the Army and Public Health Organisation attended the medical camp. The common ailments such as Hypertension, Anemia, Asthma, pregnancy related problems and dental problems were addressed by the team of doctors during the camp. Patients were also educated about the essential requirements of proper nutrition, hygiene and sanitation,” the spokesman said.
