Srinagar, May 18: Army today said it organized a career guidance seminar in Nagam area of Budgam disrict wherein speakers from three schools delivered lectures on career making for school children in Edgewood School.
A defence spokesman said the theme for the ‘career guidance seminar’ was to highlight the importance of education and sports in bringing about a positive change in Kashmir and contribution of youth towards bringing this change.
“Lecture was followed by a display of mobile chinar 9 Jawan club in which the students utilized the amenities provided in the vehicle, which included internet, indoor games and library facilities,” he said.
A badminton championship was also conducted where in 35 girls and boys of Edgewood School participated. “Prizes were distributed to all the participants and the best players among the boys and girls were given a special incentive. The school was presented with a badminton kits to motivate the girls to participate actively in games activities,” the spokesman added.
