Army man kills 5 colleagues, self

Srinagar  : An army man shot dead his five colleagues before shooting himself in Central Kashmir district of Ganderabal early today.

The incident occurred at around 2:30 a.m. when one of the army jawans, Ranaveer Singh, fired indiscriminately at his colleagues inside an army camp at Safa Pora. Five army men died on the spot while one of them who was injured was removed to hospital for treatment. The army man later shot himself dead from his service rifle.

Senior army officers reached the spot and are conducting investigations into the incident.
