SRINAGAR, May 4: An army man was killed and eight others were injured today when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell in a gorge in Anantnag.
The accident occurred in the Verinag area of Anantnag district and nine army personnel were injured and rushed to the hospital. The vehicle lost control, skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge.
Of the nine injured, one jawan identified as Gurpreet Singh succumbed to his injuries. The injured have been identified as Danish Kumar, 34, G S Bodkha, 30, Manjinder Singh, 27, Ankit, 25, Shubham, 25, Jugraj Singh, 26, Mudasir Ahmad Padder, 25, Jugraj Singh, 26.
