Army launches 2nd edition of Super -30

Srinagar, Apr 16: Army today launched the second edition of the Super-30 Centre in collaboration with Corporate Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL) to provide free of cost coaching, lodging and other related facilities to the meritorious students hailing from humble background.
Spokesman of the Army, Lt Col N N Joshi, said that Super-30 was launched during a seminar in Baramulla which was attended by Ghulam Hasan Bhat, DIG Police, North Kashmir, H S Rawat, DIG CRPF, Dr SK Shahi, Director CSRL, Dr MA Shah and Dr Sheemin Rubab, NIT, Srinagar, Syed Abdul Raouf, CEO Baramulla, Irshad Ahmad Wani, Principal Degree Collage, Baramulla and students.
Around 300 students from all over Baramulla district, mostly from Class 12th participated in the seminar. During the seminar, students were encouraged to come forward and take the challenge of clearing the entrance exam being conducted in various parts of the Valley and be a part to the history in making by joining the Kashmir Super 30 Second edition.
Dr SK Shahi, Director CSRL, briefed the children about the importance of IIT and also motivated them by narrating success stories from the past. He emphasised that the children with aptitude must aspire to clear the exams for IIT.
Dr MA Shah from NIT Srinagar motivated the children and exhorted them to be a part of the transformation of the Valley and urged them to help Kashmir find a place in the Scientific Map of the World. While addressing the gathering, Dr S Rubab from NIT Srinagar briefed the students on various other career options available to science stream students.
The programme culminated with felicitation of the students from first batch of Kashmir Super 30. Similar seminars are likely to be held at four more locations in the Valley to spread awareness amongst the students. The registration for second edition would close on 30th of May followed by screening test on June 11 in all districts of the Valley.
