RAJOURI, June 30: An Army soldier was injured in encounter with terrorists near the LoC in Dadal area of Beripattan in Rajouri district last night.
Defence sources said that Army launched a search operation after presence of some armed men was confirmed by the locals near the LoC in Sunderbani area of Rajouri. A soldier was fired upon by the hiding terrirosts during search operation and an ecounter started.
The militants however, escaped taking advantage of darkness. The search operation continued through out the day today in the adjoining areas but the militants could not be spotted. An alert has been sounded and checking of the vehicles has been intensified by the troops in Sunderbani, Noweshera and Kalakote areas.
