UDHAMPUR, Oct 30: In an apparent case of suicide, an Army jawan was found hanging with ceiling fan hook in his family quarter at Ghari in Udhampur.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year old Balbinder Singh (a Medium Regiment no 329 L/NK). He was found hanging with ceiling fan hook at the family quarter under mysterious circumstances. He had apparently committed suicide by hanging himself for the unknown reasons.
Family members saw him in hanging position and immediately called the Rehambal Police Station. A Police party rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur besides registering a case in this connection.
After completion of legal formalities and postmortem, the body was handed over to the Army authorities.
