KATHUA, Oct 25: Two persons, including an Army jawan were killed and another was injured in road accidents at Chhamb Rorian and Dayalachak areas of the district.
As per reports, Army jawans of 8 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) namely Kashmir Singh, son of Banko Ram and Ashok Singh, son of Jai Singh, both residents of Pallanwala, tehsil Akhnoor got seriously injured, when the car (PB6E-3444) they were traveling in skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge in Chhamb Rorian area, falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the duo to Sub-District Hospital, Hiranagar, where doctors declared Kashmir Singh as brought dead, while the condition of Ashok Singh was stated to be out of danger, when last reports poured in.
A case has been registered at Rajbagh Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a youth was killed, when the motorcycle (JKO8B-9946) he was riding on was hit by a Tata Mobile in Dayalachack area, falling under the jurisdiction of Hiranagar Police Station.
The youth has been identified as Ram Pal, son of Des Raj of Village Haripur, tehsil Hiranagar.
The body has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites after autopsy at Sub-District Hospital, Hiranagar.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Hiranagar Police Station and investigation started.
