SRINAGAR, Sept 30: Army today said that it held medical-cum-veterinary camp in three different places in Kashmir, including Kupwara and Kulgam districts.
A spokesman of the Army said Machhal Brigade organized a camp Ringbala village in Kupwara district, which was inaugurated by a student of the village.
The medical staff for the camp comprised of Army doctors from the Machhal Brigade and civil doctors from Dudi and Kupwara who were dedicated to provide the patients the best of medical care.
Facilities like ECG and vaccination were also provided the local population free of cost. Transport arranged for the patients from far flung villages to reach the site of the camp.
Similarly as part of ‘Sadbhavana’ project, a camp was organised by Kalapahar Brigade at Bararipura village.
“Patients with problems of gynaecology were seen and provided medical treatment by a lady doctor. Patients of general of physiology and paediatrics were treated by the Army doctors in the camp. Besides this, their cattle and pets were also treated also provided medical by Army and civilian veterinary doctors,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said a similar camp was organized in Kulgam district.
