Srinagar, July 23: The CBSE results of Class 10th are out creating fresh benchmarks of academic performance for the schools in Valley.
Army Goodwill Public School and all the 30 Army Goodwill Schools have posted impressive results with many of them achieving a pass percentage of upto 100 percent. There are very few schools in Valley other than Army Goodwill Schools that have shown comparable academic performance and the credit for this goes to the motivated students, dedicated teachers and an efficient management.
While Army Goodwill Schools at Uri, Wayne, Mazbug, Ahgam, Pahalgam and Wuzur have achieved a pass percentage of 100%, most of the other goodwill schools have crossed the mark of 90%. Army initiated a host of measures to bring about a qualitative shift in the performance of these schools such as introductipon of better teaching methodologies through exchange programmes, regular conduct of proficiency test for teaching staff, conduct of visits of children and teachers to some of the best schools beyond Kashmir, organising lectures and workshops on new teaching techniques, use of audio- visual aids for teachings, and so on.
