SRINAGAR, May 6: The Army’s Dagger Division in north Kashmir’s Old Town Baramulla stepped up to render relief and assistance to families and victims of devastating fire accident.
“GOC Dagger Division today visited the fire affected families of Old Town and closely interacted with the victims & their families,” an official said, adding, the GOC assured them of all necessary assistance and in accordance with that Army provided 1000 kilograms of rice, 500 kilograms of atta, 150 kilograms of cooking oil besides tea and 100 kilograms of sugar.
To help in shelter and reconstruction process, Army also provided 300 CGI sheets, 200 support beams, 50 cement bags besides other construction material so that homeless victims could get shelter over their heads, the official informed.
“Children and students affected by fire accident were provided with stationary items and also free medicines, life saving drugs and tetanus injections were provided by Army to affected families,” the official added.
