JAMMU, Mar 27: In continuation with efforts of the Indian Army to undertake military-civic action programs in J&K, Sabre Brigade of the Rising Star Corps constructed a borewell and dedicated to the people at Ratnuchak village, in an impressive ceremony today.
The borewell was inaugurated by head of the Village along with Corporator, Ward No 68, JMC, Anil Kumar in the presence of Army officers, prominent civilians and other villagers.
Due to drying up of water storage ponds in summer months, there is shortage of water for daily activities. This initiative, as a part of ‘Awam & Jawan’ under Operation Sadbhavana, has been a result of efforts of local military authorities in close harmony with village Panchayat and local people.
