Army conducts lectures on vocational training

REASI, Aug 22: With an endeavour to create avenues for self employment among the youth, Army conducted lectures on setting up small scale industries in the field of Mushroom and Floriculture farming for the local populace at Kunalagala, Chaladh, Shikari and Barakh villages.
The lectures focused on the viability of establishing farming of commercial floriculture and mushroom in the region and resultant benefits accruing from such industries.
Speakers with experience in the field of Mushroom and Floriculture farming highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship skills, desired knowledge and infrastructure for setting up such businesses.
Officials from the civil administration said the Government has identified such sectors as `Sunrise Industries’ with a potential to generate foreign exchange and hence is supporting the entrepreneurs with loans from Nationalized banks.
The Sarpanch of Village Kunalagala urged the youth to step forward and avail the opportunity provided by the Army to learn new skills aimed at self employment and economic development in the region.
