JAMMU, Aug 16: Army chief Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag is arriving here tomorrow for high level review of security situation in the State particularly Kashmir and the Line of Control (LoC) as unrest in the Valley continued with more people getting killed in the firing today.
Official sources said Gen Suhag will discuss the situation with Northern Command chief Lt Gen DS Hooda and other top Commanders of the Army including GOCs at 16 Corps Headquarters at Nagrota on the Kashmir and LoC situation apart from other security related issues like militancy in the hinterland.
Lt Gen Hooda had on August 14 visited the Valley along with GOC 15 Corps Lt Gen SK Dua and met local formation Commanders and other senior officers to detailed assessment of the situation developing in the Kashmir valley.
After a review, the Army chief will return to New Delhi tomorrow afternoon and brief Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Meanwhile, Eastern Command chief Lt Gen Praveen Bakshi will visit Akhnoor Division tomorrow to attend a function.
