Army begins 2-week computer course for girls

RAJOURI, Oct 5: Continuing with its endeavour to conduct employment generation activities for the girls at Thanamandi, Army today started a NIIT certified Information Technology course for a duration of two weeks for these girls.
The classes are being conducted for 20 girl students at Youth Employment Guidance Node (YEGN), Thanamandi where State of art IT infrastructure has been created by the Army for conducting such activities.
The opening ceremony was attended by Shakil Raina, Principal, Government Degree College, Thanamandi, Sadiq Ganai, Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Thanamandi, other prominent personalities of the area, students and their parents.
Speaking on the occasion, Sakil Raina said that, the course is an appropriate step in the right direction and will go a long way in enhancing the employability of the women in the area.
