Army Aviation Corps celebrates Raising Day

UDHAMPUR, Nov 1:  The Army Aviation Corps celebrated its 32nd Raising Day, here today.
Lieutenant General D Anbu, GOC-in-C Northern Command, complimented all personnel of Army Aviation Corps for their dedication, hardwork and their commitment while carrying out flying operations in most challenging and difficult terrain and weather conditions.  He exhorted all ranks to continue to strive for excellence in all fields and make the Army proud of their achievements.
The Army Aviation Corps was raised on Nov 1, 1986 as a separate Corps. The Corps, the “Arm of the future” has not only performed exceedingly well in its defined role in support of the ground forces during operations but also in support of civil population during natural calamities.
