KISHTWAR, June 3: Security forces recovered arms, ammunition and war like stores belonging to militants in Chhachchha forest in this district today.
As per police sources, a joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) Kishtwar, 17 RR and 52nd Battalion CRPF while patrolling in Chhachchha forest area busted militants hideout and recovered large cache of arms, ammunition and war like stores.
Recoveries included one AK 56 rifle, one magazine with 27 rounds, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), one 9mm pistol and one pistol magazine with six rounds.
The busting of the hideout has foiled nefarious designs of the militants and their supporters.
A case under FIR Number 103/2020 under Sections 153 IPC, 7/25 IAA and 13/18/19 ULA has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
