GDC Bandipora conducts online Webinar live from Manchester

BANDIPORA, June 3: Government Degree College (GDC) Bandipora conducted successfully an online Lecture/Webinar on ‘Advanced Nano-Materials for Electronic Sensors’ live from University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
The Lecture was delivered by Rakesh Kumar, PhD (Eng.), Research Associate and former President’s Doctoral Research Scholar at National Graphene Instititute, University of Manchester.
Faculty of different colleges, scholars and students from different parts of the world participated in one hour long lecture on ZOOM cloud.
Dr Kumar spoke on 2D grapheme and its superlative properties, grapheme synthesis methods, characterisation techniques and its application in electronic devices and sensors.
He introduced the audience briefly with the pioneer work of grapheme isolation and talked about various funding schemes for graduate and postgraduate students to acquire higher studies and research opportunities in the field at University of Manchester and other institutions in UK.
Principal of the College, Mohd Amin Malik while welcoming the guest speaker and the participatants, threw light on nano-science and its historical perspective.
The programme was conducted by Prof Parvaz Ahmad, while the vote of thanks was presented by Salim Parvaz from the Department of Computer Sciences.
