JAMMU, Dec 19: Security forces busted a hideout of the militants and recovered arms and ammunition from village Gambhir Mugalan in Thanna Mandi area of Rajouri district last night.
On specific information, a joint team of Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police carried out searches in the forest area of Gambhir Mugalan and recovered the consignment dumped by suspected militants there.
Seizure included one Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG), one AK-47 rifle, two pistols and huge quantity of ammunition of AK and Pika rifles.
After recovery, joint teams of Army and police conducted searches in the forest area but no arrests were made.
A Defence handout said the successful operation has foiled nefarious designs of terrorists and inimical elements, who may be linked with terrorist related activities primarily to vitiate the existing security environment in the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
