KISHTWAR, Oct 17: Chatroo police today recovered arms and ammunition from a house in Kharpora Chingam area of this district.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Chatroo Police Station conducted raid in the house of Ghulam Mohammad, son of Fateh Ahanger at Kharpora Chingam tehsil Chatroo and during search recovered 1 rifle 12 bore (double barrel), 2 rifles (single barrel), explosive 600 grams and 65 empty cartridges of 12 bore rifle.
The arms and ammunition so far recovered were without licence.
A case under FIR Number 39/19 under Section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Chatroo and investigation started.
However, no one was arrested in connection with the recovery and further investigation is in progress.
