Srinagar, June 18:  Security forces today recovered arms and ammunition from Handwara forests of North Kashmir during searches of the forest area.
Sources said that a joint operation was conducted by Handwara Police and 47 Rashtriya Rifles of Army in the forests of Uchher, Magam in the frontier district of Kupwara this morning.
“One AK 47, 2 magazines, two UBGL grenades, two Chinese grenades, seven Pica rounds, one pistol, one radio set and three RPG rounds were recovered during searches of the forest area”, sources added.
