SRINAGAR, Sept 5: Expressing concern over the loss of life and property in floods across J&K, the All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has demanded adequate compensation for the calamity hit people and a probe about misuse of funds meant for flood management.
In a handout APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina said that people across J&K suffered due to the devastating deluge.
He said that adequate compensation should be paid to the affected people as it is the responsibility of the Government to compensate the flood affected people in a proper manner.
The APSCC Chairman also expressed concern over the devastation caused by the flood in neighbouring Punjab and said that Punjab farmers should also be compensated adequately.
