Apple finally unveiled it’s much awaited iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus recently. The iPhone 7 has features like dual camera, waterproof and omits headphone jack.
Design and Screen
Both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus feature aluminum body and are mostly similar to 6s in terms of design. Apple has replaced the home button with touch sensitive button. This means, button will not have any physical tick- tack now. Instead it will be touch only and will vibrate giving haptic feedback. The new iPhone 7 is water proof and dust proof rated IP67. Also this jet Black color is more darker than space black.
The screen size and resolution of the iphone 7 also remains same as previous model iPhone 6s. The screen has been improved in other areas like 25% more brightness,more wide color gamut and better contrast. All these improvements has made screen , one of the most accurate.
The phone from Apple Inc also does not have headphone jack, which is one bold step from Apple. This was for long speculated by online community. Apple has introduced new wireless earphones named Air Pods. The airpods are rechargeable wireless earphone. The new iPhone has also introduced stereo speaker placed on the front of the phone.
Camera and Optics
The rear camera iPhone 7 has 12 MP with F/1.8 aperture along with OIS (Optical image Stabilization). The bigger update in the camera department has been given to iPhone 7 Plus. iPhone 7 Plus features a dual camera setup one wide angle other normal. The resolution of the rear camera of both iPhone 7 remains same as 6s but the aperture size has been increased to f/1.8. The camera of iPhone 7 will is top of the line asusual. However, Apple has given big update to the front cam to 7MP. Apple has also upgraded the flash of the camera from dual tone flash to Quad LED true tone flash. The flash is now 50% more brighter than previous version.
Processor
The internals of the new iPhone are powered by A10 Fusion chip which is all new quad core processor from Apple. The previous model 6s had dual core processor. Two Cores are high powered and two core’s are efficient low powered. The use of Big.Little architecture mostly confirms use of ARM and Snapdragon chip. Now, coming to graphics department, the graphics are now 50% more powerful than previous model.
The iPhone 7 now starts at 32 GB model all the way upto 256 GB. Finally 16 GB model is no more. Also, The battery has been improved 20-30% over the previous 6s model. Apple has said new iphone will give 2 hour more backup than previous model.
Pricing and Availability
Both phones will be available in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at $649. The new jet black finish will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models from apple.com. The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will also be available to customers in India beginning Friday, October 7. iPhone 7 will cost $749 (approximately Rs. 50,000) and the 256GB model will be available at $849 (approximately Rs. 57,250). The iPhone 7 Plus start at $769 (approximately Rs. 51,000) for 32GB storage.
