JAMMU, Jan 6: A delegation of Apni Party’s Kashmir Displaced Forum (KDF) today called on Deputy Commissioner, Relief and Rehabilitation, Devender Singh Bhau and appraised him about various issues being confronted by the migrant community.
During their meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, the delegation raised their issues with regard to the accommodation for PM package employees and their security.
“The PM package employees are compelled to live in congested accommodations which need to be improved and accordingly, their security concerns should be addressed by the Govt in view of the emerging situation in J&K,” they said.
They further said that the drinking water has become one of the main issues for the residents in Jagti.
They also demanded to provide accommodation for the large families and bifurcated families of the migrant community.  “There are complaints that the accommodations/quarters have not been painted since their construction and also demanded accommodation for those who are still residing in ORT.” they added.
The DC Relief and Rehabilitation assured that their demands would be looked into and accordingly appropriate steps will be taken for the welfare of the Kashmiri migrant community.
Youth Wing general secretary Abhay Bakaya, vice president District Jammu Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo, Provincial secretary Vishal Jyotshi and many others were part of the delegation.
