SRINAGAR, Apr 26: Apni Party today elected zonal and block-level office bearers in the Pahalgam and Bijbehara Assembly constituencies as part of its ongoing organisational elections across Jammu and Kashmir.
A statement said the polls were conducted under the supervision of Chief Coordinator and Returning Officer Abdul Majeed Padder.
Senior party leaders, including General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Additional General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, District President Anantnag Mufti Sarwar and senior leader M K Yogi, were present on the occasion.
Addressing party workers, Rafi Ahmad Mir said the election process was aimed at strengthening the party at the grassroots level and selecting active office bearers committed to serving the people.
He urged workers to remain connected with the public and strengthen the party in their respective areas.
Hilal Ahmad Shah asked party leaders to increase public outreach and stay aware of local issues and grievances so they could be raised for timely redressal.
In Pahalgam constituency, six block presidents were elected. They include Abdul Waheed Wani, Mohammad Lateef Shah for Kellar, Aijaz Ahmad for Khowripora, Manzoor Ahmad for Bathkote, Aijaz Ahmad Shah for Ashmuqam and Nazir Ahmad Lone for Doshnipora.
In Bijbehara constituency, Murtaza Rashid Dar was elected Block President Bijbehara, Sheikh Mohammad Ilyas as Block President Srigufwara, Showkat Hussain Salroo as Town President Bijbehara and Neelofar Rashid as Women’s President.
