JAMMU, Jan 20: Apni Party provincial secretary/district president Jammu Urban, Dr. Rohit Gupta has demanded round the clock electricity supply in Jammu where unscheduled power cuts have become a serious cause of concern amid harsh weather conditions.
Chairing district office bearers’ meeting here today to review working of Party leaders, Dr. Gupta said that entire Jammu is facing electricity cuts, irregular water supply and poor development.
He also said that condition of Jammu has become bad to worse due to digging of roads in the name of development or smart city and quoted the case of uprooted tile work on footpath near Science College and other areas under Jammu Municipal limits which has caused a great inconvenience to the people.
He further said that the authorities have failed to lower traffic chaos on Canal Road, New Plot-Janipur-Bantalab, Subhash Nagar and other roads.
The meeting was attended by Apni Trade Union president J&K, Ajaz Kazmi; OBC State coordinator, Madan Lal Chalotra; provincial president Jammu Youth Wing, Vipul Bali; ST Wing provincial president, Shabir Kohli and others.
