JAMMU, Dec 3: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) and prominent KP leaders in a meeting here, today expressed the hope that the Minister of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Basharat Bukhari will keep his promises made with the community leadership by settling the long pending demands of displaced Pandits.
In a statement issued here, today APMCC expressed its satisfaction over simplification of the process for bifurcation of ration cards for which the new guideline was issued by the Minster concerned. The APMCC said that this became possible with the joint efforts of the community. The Committee has appealed the Minister that the process for issuance of State subjects be also simplified so that the members of the community are relieved of the problems faced otherwise.
The meeting was attended by Vinod Pandit, chairman APMCC, King C Bharti, its national spokesman, Arun Kandroo, general secretary, MK Yogi, president Minority Cell NC, Ravinder Raina, president ASKPC, Dr T K Bhat, general secretary, ASKPC, Som Nath Saraf, vice president Kapal Mochan Trust, Shopian, Vinod Tiku, Sunil Koul, Sanjeev Koul and Virender Pandita.
The meeting also expressed the hope that the Minister will keep his promise regarding concerns of the migrant employees and their issues would be resolved soon. It also demanded that functioning of the relief organization needs to be smoothened so that migrants are relieved from the cumbersome process. The meeting appealed for unity in the community.
