APMCC to accelerate struggle for protection of shrines in Kashmir

JAMMU, Nov 23: All Parties Migrant Coordination Comm-ittee (APMCC) in its meeting here today has criticized the State as well as Central Governments for their failure in taking concrete steps for safety of historical Hindu shrines and temples in Kashmir valley which have suffered a huge damage during the 27 year long turmoil.
The meting which was chaired by president of the Committee Vinod Pandit said that his organization has launched a nation wide movement for protection of shrines and temples in Valley and remained on record fast at Porbhander Gujarat besides held protest demonstrations at New Delhi and Jammu seeking passage of Temples and Shrines Bill and protection of Hindu religious places in Valley.
He said the assurances given to his organization proved totally false as both Union and State Governments failed to take concrete steps for safeguarding Hindu religious places in Kashmir which represent our glorious past and are monuments of great culture and civilization.
He said to accelerate its struggle APMCC has decided to highlight its activities and condition of religious places and temples of Kashmir through audio visual medium and also highlight its future course of action and in January next year a major awareness campaign will start in this regard.
The meting was also addressed by Arun Kandoo general secretary APMCC.
