Anti-China protests held across J&K, tributes paid to soldiers martyred in Galwan Valley

JAMMU, June 17: Anti-China protests were held today across Jammu region over killing of 20 Indian soldiers in a violent clash with China’s PLA in Galwan Valley of Ladakh with protestors demanding revenge from China and paying tributes to martyred Indian soldiers.

The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of their president Ashok Gupta held a protest against China by burning Chinese goods such as TV, DVD Player, Toys, Chinese Manjha, Chinese slippers, Solar panels and various others things, besides posters of President of China Xi Jinping. Gupta raised slogan of Boycott Chinese goods. “We must unite ourselves to teach the lesson to China. It is time to show them the power of Indian wallet,” he added.
Leaders of Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray, Jammu and Kashmir, reacting strongly against the nefarious act of China, burnt the Chinese flags and goods. President of Shiv Sena J&K, Manish Sahni appealed to strike together on political, economic and military fronts. He said that martyrdom and killing of Indian soldiers will be avenged. He appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end all political and friendly relations with China, and give free hand to Indian forces to retaliate in their own way.
A large number of people assembled on Akhnoor Road in the outskirts of Jammu and stage protest against China. They burnt tyres and blocked the Jammu-Poonch Highway for over half-an-hour, demanding revenge from china for killing of our 20 valiant soldiers.
Activists of Bajrang Dal, some of whom were armed with tridents, gathered near Press Club Jammu and burnt an effigy of China. “We want revenge. We have done so in the past, by carrying out surgical strikes in Pakistan following an attack on an army camp in Uri sector of Baramulla district and later in the aftermath of a suicide attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama district of south Kashmir,” said one of the activists.
Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) under the leadership of their president Sunil Dimple also held anti-China protest at New Plot, Jammu. The protesting JWAM activists burnt effigy of Xi Jinping, Chinese flag. Dimple appealed PM Narendra Modi to start war with China to revenge martyrdom of our 20 soldiers.
JK UT Kisan Morcha under the leadership of its president Omi Khajuria staged a protest demonstration against China at Dream City Muthi. The activists of Kisan Morcha burnt Chinese flags and urged Indians to boycott the Chinese products.
Activists of Hindu Jagran Manch Udhampur gathered at Dabbar Chowk (Udhampur) and staged protest against China. They burnt the effigy of China Government and appealed everyone to boycott Chinese products. Earlier, they paid homage to India soldiers.
BJP OBC Morcha team headed by district presidents of the respective districts of Jammu, Jammu-Rural, Jammu-West, Akhnoor, RS pura, Reasi, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Nowshera, Sunderbani and Srinagar held aggressive protests against China and burnt Chinese flags. Before protest demonstration, tributes were paid to the Indian soldiers who attained martyrdom on the Indo-China border.
The activist of Rashtriya Janta Dal led by its senior leader SK Bhandari staged protest demonstration against China at Kathua. The RJD activists while raising anti-China slogans, brunt the effigy of China and widely condemned the brutal killing of Indian soldiers at Galwan Valley. They urged PM Modi and HM Rajnath Singh to attack China and teach it a lesson.
The protest against China was also held by Hindu Jagran Manch at Kathua. The activist of Hindu Jagran Manch assembled at Shaheedi Chowk (Kathua) and raised slogans against China. They burnt the flag of China and appealed people to boycott products of China.
In Kargil, BJP activists burnt effigy of Chinese President Xi Jinping. They raised anti-China slogans and appealed people to boycott Chinese products. Earlier, they paid rich tributes to soldiers martyred in Galwan Valley.
In a statement issued here, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Jammu-Poonch strongly condemned the recent violation of trust by Chinese troops at LAC in Ladakh Galwan Valley. He said that undesirable action by Chinese troops resulted into the martyrdom of 20 Indian soldiers. He was highly critical off the action by China and said that if China does not amend its ways then it has to be ready to face serious consequences. In stern warning to China, the MP asked the neighboring country to mend with its ways otherwise befitting reply will be given to it at all the fronts.
Provincial president National Conference Devender Singh Rana said the nation is shell shocked over the loss of 20 valiant soldiers, hoping that their martyrdom shall not be allowed to go waste. He paid tribute to the martyrs and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families. They are not alone at this point of grief as the entire nation is standing behind them, he added.
The provocations like the LAC skirmishes shouldn’t weaken our commitment to peace, he said while adding this should, however, not be taken as a weakness as well. Rana said the nation cannot compromise with its territorial integrity and geo-political sovereignty. Defending these has been the resolve of every compatriot who are united at this point of time when China has attempted to test the patience of the country.
Former MoS Priya Sethi expressed shock over the martrydom of 20 Indian soldiers including a Colonel Santosh Babu in a fierce clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh. She said that BJP Government at the Centre has given full powers to the security forces guarding the nation at LoC and LAC to retaliate for giving befitting reply to the enemy. She was speaking at a function organized by District Mahila Morcha to paid tributes to our valiant soldiers.
Expressing great shock and sympathies with the families of our brave soldiers, who were martyred at the LAC with China, JK Pradesh Congress Committee said that entire country stands solidly behind our armed forces and the Government to deal with the external threats from China and other hostile neighbours. JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said the nation salutes the bravery of our soldiers and their devotion and dedication to protect the territorial integrity of the country at all costs.
BJP spokesperson Inderjit Sambyal, in a press statement, said that the sacrifice of Indian soldiers martyred in a clash with Chinese troops at Galwan valley in Ladakh would not go in vain. “India while peace loving is capable of giving a fitting reply if provoked. No one should be in any doubt. India wants peace but when provoked, it is capable of giving a fitting reply, be it any situation,” he added.
Former MLC Ramesh Arora (advocate), addressing a press conference, condemned China’s action in Galwan Valley. “China has to pay for it as whole nation stands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi irrespective of  political affiliation and ideology,” he said, adding, whole nation is shocked and wants retaliation.
Former JMC chairman and senior Congress leader Satish Sharma while paying tributes to martyred Indian soldiers in Gangyal area, said that the time has come to conduct a surgical strike on China as well because in last few years China has been continuously trying to penetrate our land. He said that 130 crore people of the country are with the Indian Army.
Chairman of International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) Jammu and Kashmir Advocate PS Chib offered condolences from the bottom of his heart to families of martyred soldiers and their loved ones. “In strong words, we condemn this cruel incident,” Chib said. He said we stand with Indian Army and our Nation in every situation because they are the first priority for us.
National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) J&K UT president Rajesh Gupta strongly condemned the cowardly act of Chinese PLA attack on Indian army and saluted the courage and sacrifice of brave Indian officers/soldiers who laid their lives protecting territory of the Nation. Gupta appealed Prime Minister to give a befitting reply to China.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) president Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, in a statement said that the DSS stands with the Government in its resolve of not losing even an inch of Indian soil and retrieve PoJK at the earliest possible. He said that military commanders should be given a free hand to apply their strategies to punish China for its misadventure.
In an event organized by Jammu East Mandal at BJP office Kachhi Chawni, BJP leaders paid tributes to soldiers martyred in Galwan Valley. Speaking on the occasion, BJP JK vice president Yudhvir Sethi said that the fallen soldiers have left us with heavy hearts. “We back the Central Government in every retaliatory measure against the Dragon at LAC, given the fact that China has been a miscreant whether it is a land border dispute or the spread of novel coronavirus”.
Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC along with Shubhlata Sharma, Jammu district general secretary Mahila Morcha BJP paid tribute to 20 brave heart Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives and got martyred in clashes with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. Purnima said that the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who were martyred in clashes with the Chinese PLA will not be forgotten.
Ex Servicemen Welfare Association Kathua led by its president Manohar Singh and Chairman Capt Gian Singh Pathania paid rich tributes to Galwan Martyrs of Indian Army who has sacrificed their live for the sake of Motherland. They appealed PM Modi to take stern action against China and teach it a lesson.
J&K Freedom Fighters Association (JKFFA) called for another surgical strike to avenge the martyrdom of Indian soldiers in the Galwan Valley. JKFFA members paid tributes to the martyred soldiers in a programme held at Dogra Shaurya Sthal, Ampbhalla, under the chairmanship of Ved Gandotra. Slamming China for its expansionist agenda, Mahajan called for boycott of Chinese goods to undermine the country economically.
“Feeling painful on losing of our brave soldiers while protecting our motherland at Ladakh’s Galwan Valley,” said Rekha Mahajan, secretary BJP J&K UT. She said that Nation salutes our immortal heroes who sacrificed their lives to keep Indian territory safe and secure. We stand by our nation and Government at this hour of crisis, she asserted.
Youth wing of NCP while condemning the brutal attack on Indian soldiers by Chinese PLA at Galwan Valley of Ladakh, paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid their lives for the safety of country. Rishi Kilam, National joint secretary and spokesperson of NCP Youth wing said that whole nation and history will not forget this ugly attack. He said that the LAC issue should be resolved bilaterally so that peace may be maintained on both the sides.
Municipal councilors and local people of Samba paid homage to the soldiers martyred in the Galwan Valley and swore that they will boycott China’s products from today. Municipal Council Chairman Pawan Kohli, Councilor Vinod Singh Vinny, Councilor Narinder Singh and Councilor Sanjeev Padha were present. They said that the Central Government should give free hand to the army and avenge the martyrdom of its Jawans.
Condemning gruesome attack of Peoples Liberation Army of China on brave Indian soldiers in Ladakh sector in Galwan Valley, Displaced Kashmiri Sikhs Conference (DKSC) president Harmohinder Singh appealed the country men to take a united stand against the nefarious policy of China who is hell bent upon to destabilize our country.
Former Ladakh Affairs Minister Thakur Randhir Singh (president, Aromatic Plants Growers Association of India) paid rich tributes to Indian soldiers martyred in clash with Chinese PLA and expressed his condolences to families of Indian brave hearts. He said that the Government must ensure that their sacrifices not go in vain. Singh said that we should get vacated the Indian occupied area forcibly captured by China and also immediately stop all the trade with China.
