UDHAMPUR, Dec 26: With the arrest of accused and recovery of stolen items, Police have worked out another theft case, which took place under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station.
The accused have been identified as Mohd Manveer, son of Mohd Iqbal of Krimachi Mansar, Udhampur and Rampal, son of Bansi Lal of Roun Domail Udhampur.
While Mohd Manveer has committed theft in the shop of Kasturi Lal Gupta of Dhar road Udhampur, accused Rampal had received stolen items from the former.
Based on the complaint of Kasturi Lal Gupta of Dhar Road Udhampur regarding theft in his shop, a case FIR number 476/21, under section 457/380 IPC was registered at Police Station Udhampur and the investigation was set into motion.
During investigation, a team led by SHO Udhampur, Insp Chaman Gorka, under the supervision of Anwaar Ul Haq, Addl SP Udhampur and Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Udhampur, conducted various raids in different locations and some suspects were zeroed in.
During the sustained questioning of these suspects, one of them broke down and confessed to the commission of offence. On his disclosure, stolen items worth Rs two lakhs were recovered.
