JAMMU, Mar 13: Days after five girls from Myanmar (Burma) were rescued by Police Station Bus Stand Jammu, another human trafficking racket was busted from Bathindi area of the District today
SHO Trikuta Nagar, Inspector Nayat Ali told the Excelsior that acting on a written complaint of Child Welfare Committee (CWC), two teenage girls, aged 14 and 15, who hails from Myanmar, were rescued by a police team of Police Station Trikuta Nagar from Bathindi area.
“After conducting the legal formalities, the victims have been shifted to CWC shelter homes,” he said.
The police officer said that investigations are on to trace the child traffickers.
