Another cold day in Delhi

NEW DELHI : It was a cold and foggy morning in the national capital today with low visibility disrupting trains operations.

Although the minimum temperature settled a notch above normal at 10 degrees Celsius, icy winds left Delhiites shivering.

As moderate fog was witnessed in the city in the wee hours, as many as 24 north-bound trains were delayed.

Visibility remained at 400 meters at 8:30 AM at Safdarjung observatory while at Palam it plunged to less than 50 meters. Humidity was recorded at 95 per cent in the morning.

It was a partly clear sky in the morning which is expected to turn mainly clear sky from afternoon onwards.

The day temperature is expected to settle around 16 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said. (AGENCIES)
