Annual tech fest begins at SMVDU

KATRA, Oct 25: Titiksha the annual technical festival of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, commenced with a big bang in the Matrika auditorium in the university campus, here today.
The fest showcases a wide aura of skills and dexterity for the next three exuberant days in SMVDU.
Titiksha, which was started by the students of SMVDU in 2008 has been broadening its canvas every year and this year guest lectures from eminent personalities from the world of technology and workshops on corporate life is special feature.
Over the next three days, different events will be held by various branches which include Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Biotechnology and Architecture.
This year the festival was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir K  Jain who in his inaugural address appreciated the zeal of students and said that such events not only inculcate organizational abilities and team spirit in students but also expose them to the world of recent happenings.
Further, Prof  Jain said that it is heartening to note that this year students are exhibiting their skills by adding more and more participants and speakers from other parts of the country.
Registrar, Roop Avtar Kaur, Dean College of Engineering, Prof  V  Verma, Dr  Yugal Khajuria Dean of Students and  Dr  Ankush Anand, chief faculty coordinator, Titiksha shared the dais.
Dhananjay Singh is chief student coordinator of the event this year.
More than 250 students have already registered from across 45 colleges all over India.
The spotlight of Titiksha would be its mega event which includes catchy features like “All iz not well’, Chacha Chowdhary’, ‘Tech Roadies Reloaded’, Wavemania Electriquiz, Rbo matrix, Bio Tech Quiz  and many more alike.
