JAMMU, Aug 17: The annual pious ‘Jyot and Thali’ of Chandi Mata left for Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Chinote Bhaderwah from Shri Maha Lakshmi Mandir, Pacca Danga, here today.
Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Sanstha performed Thali Poojan yesterday at Shri Maha Lakshmi Mandir Pacca Danga in presence of various religious leaders.
The holy “Jyot and Thali” left from Shri Maha Lakshmi Mandir, Pacca Danga and after passing through Pacca Danga, Jain Bazaar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar reached Indira Chowk from where the pilgrims boarded the buses to reach Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Chinote, Bhaderwah, the base camp of Machail Yatra.
The yatra reached the base camp this evening from where the pious Charri of Mata Chandi will be taken tomorrow towards Machail, the abode of Goddess Chandi.
Interacting with media persons, Sanjay Gandotra, President, Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Sanstha said, “We have Maa Chandi’s blessings. Yatra has seen an overwhelming response as over one lakh yatris paid obeisance at Machail Mata temple this year. We are thankful to State administration for security and civil arrangements”.
It is to be mentioned that the Machail Mata yatra, the annual pilgrimage to Goddess Durga’s shrine in Machail village of Kishtwar district, has already crossed the one-lakh mark.
Vinay, a yatri said, “I am here to pay obeisance for the fifth time with my family. Mata Rani blessed me with everything I wished for”.
State Administration has assured necessary civil and security arrangements for all the pilgrims who are going to pay obeisance at holy Machail Mata temple.
