Residents’ concern over insanitation in Roop Nagar, Anuradha Puram

JAMMU, Aug 17: The residents of Sector 2 JDA, Club road Upper Roop Nagar, and Anuradha Puram Sector One and Two Barnai have expressed grave concern over prevailing insanitation in their respective areas.
The residents of these localities have made an appeal to Commissioner ,Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) urging him to issue directives to concerned officers to depute the Safai Karamcharis in the respective areas to remove the garbage and other waste scattered in the lanes and by lanes of these colonies.
They said the scattered garbage and waste on lanes and by lanes have created health hazards in these localities there by making the life of people very miserable. They said in case the cleanliness drive was not launched by the authorities of JMC, by deploying the Safai Karamcharis there is every apprehension of epidemic to spread there due to water logging coupled with scattered garbage and waste in lanes and bylanes.
