JAMMU, Mar 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly condemned the actions of certain Jammu-based office bearers of Valley-centric political parties, especially the National Conference (NC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), accusing them of spreading misinformation about the party’s role in the region over the past decade.
BJP spokesperson Ankur Sharma referred to these individuals as “neo sepoys,” claiming that their actions are destabilizing the region and undermining its progress.
Sharma further criticized the National Conference for its history of supporting Pakistan-backed narratives and fostering division in Jammu and Kashmir.
He highlighted that the party’s role in perpetuating discrimination against Jammu province remains evident, and that these forces are still attempting to undermine the positive changes brought by the BJP.
“The BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasized its commitment to inclusive development and National unity,” Sharma said.
He pointed out that the party has taken historic steps to uplift Jammu, including improving healthcare through AIIMS Jammu and new medical colleges, expanding infrastructure, and creating employment opportunities.
Additionally, the BJP’s development initiatives, such as skill development programs and social welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, have provided financial security and dignity to vulnerable sections of society.
“The party’s efforts to strengthen national security and crack down on separatist elements have also ensured a safer and more stable Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Sharma firmly stated that BJP will not allow any attempts to disrupt the region’s progress and urged the people of Jammu to stay vigilant and continue supporting the party’s mission of development, unity, and nationalism.
“Under BJP’s leadership, Jammu is regaining its rightful place in a strong and united India,” Sharma remarked.
