JAMMU, Aug 7: Anjum-e-Imamia, Jammu today demanded a fair probe into the death of a youth, who was shot at by the security persons at the residence of former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah’s Bathindi residence, a few days back.
The issue was discussed in length during a meeting of the Anjum-e-Imamia at Imam Dargah Sofi Shah, Peer Mitha. While expressing his views, Syed Afaq Hussain Kazmi, vice-president, Anjum-e-Imamia, Jammu alleged that it was a cold blooded day-light murder and a fair enquiry should be held in the case.
“If a fair probe is not held and the real culprits are not given punishment, then such gruesome incidents will happen again and again and people would lose the trust in security agencies”, he said while demanding that all the call details of the deceased be revealed and the person who called him to Bathindi should be exposed.
Syed Ayaz Shah Naqvi, while speaking on the occasion, asserted that the matter should be taken seriously. He also raised finger on investigating agencies for not making CCTV footage of the site public. He also appealed media to play responsible role in solving the mystery behind the case.
Others present in the meeting were Syed Amjad Shah, Syed Tahir Shah, Shujaut Khan, Sohail Mir, Ahaz Kazmi, Syed Mohsin Jaffery, Syed Ghazi Kazmi and Manzoor Hussain.
