KATHUA, Mar 5: After passing sleepless nights in the war field of Ukraine, a youth hailing from district Kathua Anirudh Chowhan finally returned to his home safely.
Anirudh, a resident of Partap Nagar reached his home and his family warmly welcomed him with core of heart.
His mother Mamta Chowhan, who was praying for safe return of her son, was glad to see her son and there was no end to her happiness.
Anirudh told that the last seven days he had passed were terrible. “I passed sleepless nights in safe bunkers inside Metro tunnels. After reaching Poland border, I had some relief when Indian embassy welcomed me. The Indian Government made all arrangements of food and air tickets from Poland to my residence”, he said and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh for being in close touch with the people and students, who are struck or returning from Ukraine.
Rajan Chowhan, father of Anirudh also thanked Indian Government for taking timely decision to evacuate the Indian students especially from J&K.
“I was directly in touch with MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and he had expressed full support to us for the safe return of my son”, he said, adding that efforts of the Indian Government for evacuating the Indian students and people from Ukraine are really appreciable.
District Administration Kathua was also in touch with those families, whose near or dear ones were stuck in Ukraine. The administration was taking regular updates for their safe returns.
