*BJP deserves to be shown the door: Bhardwaj

JAMMU, Sept 6: Senior Congress leaders Hari Singh Chib president DCC Jammu Rural and senior advocate MK Bhardwaj Member AICC and office bearers of DCC have sought people’s support in the upcoming Local Body polls, especially in the JMC elections in order to get rid of the miseries thrust upon them by the anti-people policies of the incumbent proxy Government of BJP in J&K.
They expressed this in their address while attending a meeting at ward No: 61 falling in Jammu North Assembly segment held here today in connection with framing of strategy for the said elections.
DCC president said that there is a massive anguish among the people that is evidenced by Jammu Bandh calls at the instance of the people and the same becoming successful. He said the failure of the Government can be well gauged from the fact that agitations and protests are going unabated against illegal Sarore Toll Plaza and installation of Smart Meters for which the Government stands wholly and solely responsible. He lamented that youth are protesting against recruitment scams and even the employees especially the daily wagers are on roads staging protests against Govt for their genuine demands. BJP is just befooling the people of this Union Territory and the nation, Chib added.
Senior party leader MK Bhardwaj accused the BJP Govt at the Centre and the J&K Administration of failure to address the issues pertaining to the basic amenities. He said proper water and electricity supply still remain distant in substantial areas of Jammu. Not only this, the common people are being served with heavy power bills never ever heard of till date and the concerned depart as well as the Administration turning a blind eye to the significant issue. He said that as if all this was not enough that the Govt has further broken the spine of already suffering people by imposing property tax. He said that BJP deserves to be shown the door by the people and bring Congress to power so that they heave a sigh of relief.
Both the leaders asserted that people of J&K have now realized that only Congress is their first and last hope for them and they will soon dislodge the incompetent Govt that did nothing for J&K except betraying its people.
