Anganwari workers’ deputation submits memo to Kotwal

JAMMU, Mar 28: A deputation of Anganwari workers led by M Y Tarigami, president of CITU, today met Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Dr Pawan Kotwal and submitted a memorandum of demands
The deputation members discussed various demands of the Anganwari workers with the Principal Secretary. The main demands include paying fixed wages of Rs 4000 plus 50 percent bonus on incentive, increase in rate of delivery, vaccination, ANC and HBPNC services, providing rest room, smart phone for reporting their activities, death compensation, health insurance and implementation of 45th ILC recommendations on the pattern of Haryana Government.
The Principal Secretary gave a patient hearing and assured the deputation that demands put forth in the memorandum will be put before the higher authorities for consideration.
SP Kesar, senior leader of CITU and Sunita Bhagat, general secretary, Asha Workers’ Union were also part of the deputation.
