JAMMU, Jan 31: Amity University Rajasthan on the recommendation of Board of Manage-ment bestowed Honorary Professor title to Dr Ajit Pathank for his unparalleled contribution in the field of Public Relations and Communications Manage-ment globally and his valued role in promotion of RTI to the civil society, community welfare and CSR.
Dr Ajit Pathak, born in 1956, is a poet, radio and TV news readers and cartoonist for a number of premier news papers and magazines. He is national President of Public Relations Society of India for the past 13 years and Ex-Board Member, International Public Relations Association. He is the first Asian to be the Secretary of Global Alliance of Public Relations and Communications Management-a consortium of 65 National Public Relations Organization.
He has been nominated as National Chair and Board Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) representing Asia and Oceania twice in his career. He was inducted to the Central Information Commission as Media Advisor by the Government of India in recognition of the praiseworthy contribution made to the PR profession and the cause of Right to Information in 2007.
Post graduate in law and public administration, Dr Pathak is the first Indian to earn Directorate in Public Relations on his research on “Public Relations in Public Enterprises”. He is recipient of number of awards.
